Abranet is the golden child of Mirka as it is the sanding disc that really defined Mirka and their goal for dust free sanding. Abranet abrasives span the entire Mirka portfolio from discs all the way to sheets and rolls.

The advantages to Abranet are not limited to dust free sanding, because of its mesh design you do not need to worry about aligning holes on the backing pad as the disc or sheet can just be attached and will provide exceptional dust free sanding whatever the position. As well as this Abranet discs will potentially last up 6 times longer than other discs, this is because of the mesh design which prevents dust from getting clogged in the surface and wearing it out.

Abranet Ace is a relatively new addition to the Mirka range and is designed to offer better edge wear resistance and better wear resistance for harder surfaces like fillers, primers and clearcoats. The Ceramic grain of Ace allows for more aggressive sanding whilst still offering the dust extraction capabilities of Abranet.

The make up of them also allows them to withstand higher heats during sanding which would cause other models to wear out.

Q.Silver key features

  • Impregnated latex structure allows for high temperatures and more aggressive sanding.
  • Available in a wide range of sizes, hole configurations and shapes
